Will I be forced to talk or participate in ways that make me uncomfortable?

You will never be pressured to share anything you don’t want to share, and what you decide to talk about in the group will stay in the room. All participants will agree to protect the confidentiality of others in the group. There will be opportunities to share and engage with others in the group but your participation is completely voluntary. Remember everyone in the group understands and will give you room to decide the best way to participate.

Who is Joe Cox?

The leader of this course is Joe Cox, who has battled depression off and on throughout his life. He understands the challenges and struggles. Through this course,  and with the help of a counselor, Joe discovered strategies that have helped him rise above his depression so that he could lead a healthy and victorious Christian life. Joe loves to help hurting people, and it’s from this motivation that he offers this course. Joe leads Enduring Treasure Ministries, a Christian organization dedicated to inspiring and equipping Christian leaders to excel in transforming ministry. He’s been leading Christian non-profits and developing leaders for over 38 years, and is currently involved in leadership development initiatives among church leaders in East Central Africa. He received his certification as a Christian Life Coach from the International Coach Federation, the largest coaching organization in the world.

How do I get my book?

When you register for the course, you will be sent a link to purchase your book. The suggested donation for the book is $17 which covers costs of the book and postage. This is the only charge for participation in the group, and if the cost is a problem, please let us know. Everyone who attends the course needs a book.

How do I connect online?

You will be sent a link to join a Zoom room online. Click on the link using your computer or device and follow the simple instructions. Please give yourself a few minutes to do this before class begins so that we can all start on time the first session. We’ll use the same link for all class sessions.

What should I do if I must miss a meeting?

Those who are battling depression can sometimes be tempted to withdraw from connection with others. Therefore, we want to encourage you to make the commitment to attend all 12 sessions, even if you don’t feel like attending. Free yourself by deciding ONCE to attend ALL the sessions rather than deciding each week about whether to attend. The sessions will be meaningful  and helpful for you. You won’t want to miss a single one! If you are unable to attend a session, please communicate with Joe Cox.
